I've previously used their curl cream but my hair hated it because of the petroleum I'm assuming. Today at CVS I saw this new curl cream without the petroleum and decided to grab it. Has anyone else tried it? I'm giving it the side eye until I try it because it looks runnier than other curling creams.

I tried it and it was ok. I wasn't able to get it to work for me like I'd hoped so I shelved it and was gonna come back to it another day. I was trying to use it as a moisturizer on dry hair vs. a LI on damp hair. The bottle suggests using it either way. How are you using it SweetlyCurly

I liked it fine. It got the job done and moisturized my hair. But it doesn't stand out in my mind as having done anything special (but I have the same feeling about most leave-ins, which is why I'm still looking for a holy grail in this category). If I was all out of my other leave-ins and saw some on sale I might repurchase.

I'm going to use it tomorrow as a curling cream, after my leave in. I'll update you guys after

I use it as a moisturizer on damp hair and seal with shea butter mix

I washed last night and used it. Couple of observations: -Felt really moisturizing while applying.
-consistency was interesting: it looked/felt like a mix between a cream and a gel. Didn't spread easy between my palms like a cream would because of its slimy gel-like texture. -hair looked good before I went to bed. I'll see how it is this morning to give final first impression. Will post pics later.

It's definitely made for looser hair types. It didn't do jack squat for these 4b naps.

I think it depends on how you're applying and using it. I have pretty tight coils. I've used it for wash n goes paired with the curling custard or the curling creme. I get pretty good results but if your heavy handed with the custard it can result in flakes (hair is also a little stiff on the ends. I have used the curl activator by it self to do finger coils and those always turn out great. Coils are always soft and moisturized.
