does this rinse away easily? and does it leave any residue behind?

It rinsed away really easily for me. I didn't notice any residue.

I'll be using it again tonight since I should have done two rounds first up due to my scalp issues.

I purchased this to use on my gf's locs. She has severe scalp issues and the rinse worked great. I followed up with shampoo only because her scalp needed it.

I will pick up the dry shampoo for us to try as well.

Okay, my scalp has a slight itch, so I plan to just apply it to my scalp. I'll have a review either today or tomorrow.

Actually, nvm, I was in the black hair care section of walmark just this week and I didn't see those products. I'm sure it would have caught my eye.
and I don't think my Sally's has them either.

Max hydration method. It's a somewhat involved method designed to keep the hair as hydrated as can be -- for curl definition, health, etc. There's a huge LHCF thread for it, along with some additional ones.

ETA: $3.47! Now I'm wondering, "What's the catch?"

Ea. It was $4.97 when I went today. Not sure if I saw it wrong last week or the price changed.

I was too lazy to use it last night, so I put some Root Relief on my scalp before my shower this morning.

Ok, I was surprised that it has a nozzle for easy application when you remove the top. You have to be careful that too much does not flow out at once. The peppermint gave my scalp a soothing feeling almost instantly. My itching stopped.

Cantu ACV Root Rinse is a nice scalp treatment. Marketed as a cleanser but I use it as a pre-poo scalp treatment.
Not harsh at all and definitely leaves your scalp cleaner. Nice and tingly too. I cannot speak to its cleansing power overall though since I don't use it as my sole cleanser.

I picked up the Hair Rinse and really enjoyed it. I also saw that Hawaiian Silky has a similar product that I might also try out.
