Has anyone every added canola to their hair?

As a sealant or DC?

What were the results?

TIA:grin:

I used to use it to stretch out my Olive Oil that I use as a sealant and it's pretty good. I did an HOT with it last week and it provided awesome slip when detangling and left my hair feeling soft and lubricated.

I heard that Canola has the power to repair damaged cells. I'm not sure how scientifically backed up that is but I enjoy Canola especially since it's lighter than Olive and doesn't make my hair as greasy for it seems to absorbed faster than it. I also heard that Canola oil has the possibility of penetrating the hair shaft as well but I'm not sure how definite that is either.

Either way I will continue to use especially since I can get it for so cheap.

When I run out of olive oil for hot oil treatments and am too lazy to go to the grocery store, I use whatever cooking oil is around.

Even though it's hydrogenated, putting it in my hair is better than putting it in my body.

It is a good buffer to the harshness of shampoo.

No, but I really love Silk Dreams products. They are from Supergirl.

Are you going to keep using canola/rapeseed oil? It's a good buffer for the shampoo.
