I’ll be visiting New York for the very first time in May. I’m attending a conference at the Javits Centre. I have never, ever been to NY and I don’t even know where to start looking for salons. I’m looking for a Manhattan area (within driving distance of 655 West 34th Street) black salon, that offers fast service as I won’t have much time in between conference sessions.

The beauty of Manahattan is that everything in Manhattan is practically driving distance :look:. I believe there is a salon on 37th street between 6th and 7th avenues or between 7th and 8th. I cannot for the life of me remember exactly where. But my stylist, works out of a yt salon and she's on 27 East 20th street (right off of broadway) see if she's available (212) 941-1404. Her name is Danielle. she's a bit pricey but worth it imo.

Hth!
Oh and welcome!!!

i have nothing to add to your hunt in midtown, but I will say this...welcome to NYC...you will enjoy this magical city!!!

Thank you, I know I will I'm so excited!!!! All I can think about is shopping, shoping, shopping. I'd love to do a tour but since I'm only there for 2 days it might not be possible.
