I do with no problems. However, I am extra vigilant about balancing my use of protein out with moisture.
I know there are "rules (of thumb)" that some people get hung up on. However, you have to try and see what works for YOU. Following a protein-moisture program like Cathy Howse, Chicoro or Wanakee works for many people. However, for the segment of people who find that their hair doesn't thrive with that much regular protein use, there are other regimens available that seem to garner good results with far less protein usage. You have to spend time evaluating what works for you individually as a way of making a final decision.
I think the key thing to being able to do that is by keeping hair moisturised as well during those days so that your hair has a protein and moisture balance.
