can you used BBD stretch with a hair steamer instead of a hair dryer?

What is a hair steamer anyway? LOL...

I know that Miss Jessies (Curve) mentions on their site using a steamer for their deep treatements, which up until a maybe a couple of months ago was BBD Stretch. http://www.missjessies.com/solutions1.htm

When I went, they just sat me under the dryer.
