Looks like your hair type may be 4b there may be some 4a but it's hard to tell in those pictures. Thick hair is a great thing to have!

Ok, after some more research, I discovered that my hair is 4b. I have wavy strands of hair. Thanks ladies!

Possibly "C" shaped. But most likely it is the next step from "B", which means the coil is tighter, like a needle. Size of coil diameter ---> 4a= pencil, 4b= pen spring, so 4c= could be needle.

Your hair is too straight for me to give a guesstimate on the typing scale. It does appear to be 4family. Once you let it grow out more, then we can get a better perspective!

Yes 4a and 3c are curly, but you'll find 3c has a looser curl pattern.

4B is curly too. All hair is either curly, wavy or straight. Manipulation is what makes it look any other way. OP I think you're either 4A or 4B. I don't think there's any such thing as 4C. CNapp is a pet name of manipulated 4B hair.

Type 2 hair is wavy. Type 3 hair is curly but because the curls are much bigger than the 4's, when viewed close to the scalp, it looks wavy.

Manipulated =Combed, brushed, plaited whether with or without products. Just handled in a way that changes it from the way it naturally grows out of your head. If someone with straight hair curls it, I consider that manipulated hair. It isn't curly naturally but was manipulated to look like that.

4B hair looks like this when it is not combed/brushed or stretched when dry, or if it is combed wet and allowed to dry without being manipulated:

^^ Those are a lots of tiny curls packed tightly beside each, which if viewed closely and away from the others, look like this (no product):

And if you stretch a curl/coil, you get a wave (no product here either):

Now if you take that same hair and plait it or brush it, especially if you do this when it's dry or let it dry when in a stretched state (like a braid), you can get any of these looks (no product in the next 7 pics):

If you apply a product that is wet (like S Curl) the manipulated hair can form coils again, although they may not be so obvious from afar but close up, you can see the hair is made of little circles. The pic below shows the hair from afar and then close up (the hair has been S Curled and combed out):

And here's another close up showing the little circles/curls that make 4B hair, again S Curl is used here and hair combed out:
