Can you say sealing your ends = retaining more

i rarely seal unless im doing a braid out. i do not like to layer products on wash and goes which is what i wear most of the time. i layer when i do braid outs because i will be going a full week without moisturizing(i NEVER moisturize my hair unless its wet).

So if you do oil rinses do you still need to seal with an oil? I stopped sealing with an oil a long time ago when I came to the conclusion my hair likes less product and it didn't seem necessary. I don't like my hair to feel oily whatsoever, so I oil rinse instead. I do have different variations of splits though, hmm..

Growth, not sure. Retention, definitely, as well as a lot less split ends. I used to have regular split ends and now they're very sparse.

Sealing is one of the 10 Commandments for retaining length.

My top 3 sealers
Coconut oil (summer months)
Shea Butter (any time)
Castor oil (winter months)

Sealing is da bizness!!!!!

I would agree. Applying some oil or sealant to my ends after moisturizing has helped combat breakage in that area.

No breakage = more retention.

I use Profectiv Mega Growth Oil sheen to seal in moisture on out styles, and when I'm braiding my hair up for the night I seal with one of my butters from Alikay Naturals, or BB Super Gro hair grease, or some type of oil...depends on what I grab first lol.
