can you pre-poo with braids?

I have braid extensions and have pre-pooed a few times. It worked out just fine as far as softness and matting is concerned but I co-wash on wednesdays and wash on saturdays Plus I MTG spray everyday so I figured I didnt need to pre-poo anymore. It got expensive using up my products so quickly...lol HTH
