Can you name some hard protein treatments

Nope cuz it's the best one, lol.

I think ORS HAIR mayonnaise is one. Motions emergency CPR.

A plain old egg with mayonnaise and aloe Vera pulp followed by a moisturizing conditioner. I remember my mon doing this for my hair back in the day. :)

If I'm interested in stopping breakage, then Aphogee 2 step is like no other. In fact I'm going to regularly do this treatment every 6-8 weeks to keep breakage at bay. I recently purchased Optimum Care Fortifying conditioner that says it will stop breakage so I'm assuming that it is a protein conditioner. I don't know the level of intensity, mild, medium, hard, but there were many good reviews on it.

I just like trying new companies I get bored and think what if it's something else better and thought it was something better than aphogee, but Yal convincing me to stay with it... But I never used the balancer , I just used my deep conditioner with it

Lilmama1011,
If you've found things that work well for your hair, stick with it. If it's not broke dont't fix it...could be a scrumptious recipe for a setback! :nono:

Jus food for thought Dear! :yep:

I def co-sign on the DRC. I used to use that and it works beautifully. The Aphogee Two Step Protein works well too.

Wow, you used it every two weeks? That's incredible. Did you ever worry that it would be too much protein?

Not for me it isn't. I have very fine soft hair and without it I would have a lot of breakage. Let's just say, I have feathers for hair and the bi-weekly treatments adds a stick onto it for support. It makes my hair very soft and gets rid of my dryness.

I use eggs. I dilute it with conditioner and olive oil based on how hard I want it to be. I don't have any bottled hard protein. I do have some light protein though.

How does it compare to Aphogee's 2-step? Which do you prefer and why? How did you find out about it?

I found out about DRC thru friends and tried it out and loved it. The Aphogee works great except it is a little sticky for me. DRC is also a little more potent and user friendly to me. It is a little sticky, but not nearly as much as Aphogee. The end result, my hair is a little softer with DRC. Only downfall is the price of the DRC vs Aphogee.

Also take note, I use heat frequently which attributes directly to my much needed protein treatments. If you are not an avid heat user, you may not need as much protein.
