Can you have leave out without hear damage?

I wanna get a weave so bad and leave a little bit of my hair out for blending but I'm worried about damaging my curl pattern. Is it possible not to? Anyone have any experience?

I have little experience with weaves, but I do flat iron regularly.

I think if you were to deep condition and flat iron no more than once a week then you could get away with it. But obviously everyones hair is different.

Not leave out that blends flawlessly.
I inevitably will have loosened pieces when I do leaveout with a straight hair weave. Even with a meticulous deep condition and only flat iron on clean hair routine
