When I regularly relaxed my hair, my mom used ElastaQP Mild on my hair. Good stuff (oops, I shouldn't be saying that since I'm going natural)!

Creme of nature makes a mild, it's lye.I got a 12 oz. jar of it at the BSS for only 4.99. It didnt include the nutralizing shampoo, but I didint see a Creme of Nature nutralizing shampoo w/ Color alarm, so I bought the shampoo in a different brand. Not a bad deal considering I will have this for atleast 2 years If I can sucessfully strech..

I don't apply my own relaxers, but I love Mizani sensitive scalp relaxer (no-lye). I have fine hair that I've been told straightens very quickly, and I've always loved the results from this relaxer. As for the straightness, I think that it depends on the length of application more than on the relaxer type. I give Mizani sensitive scalp two thumbs up.

Syntonics is the bomb! Ive been using this for a little under 8 months. It is very gentle and is from the same company that productes Affirm relaxers except it is not drying. It is very gentle. I have never burned anywhere on my scalp when my beautician uses this even after a sweaty workout or if im been scratching my scalp a little bit.
Heres a link to the product: http://www.irbysbeautysupply.com/Syntonics.html

Mizani Sensitive Scalp Mild...it felt like all I had was conditioner on, and I usually burn even if I don't touch my scalp for a whole day.
