Can you color and texturize/texlax at the same time?

I know color + perm= double processing, bad for hair, but can you color and then texturize your hair without problems or would it be just as bad?
ETA, not at the *exact* same time, but you know, spaced in between appropriately.

Not permanent colour, I would wait at least 2-3 weeks minimum, but most semi-permanent colours you can apply straight after a relaxer.

I agree with Lonei, I read in Shamboosie's beautiful black hair that you can do it both on the same day but I would leave it to the professionals. If you are interested this is what he suggested;

Mix 1oz of color (your choice) w/1oz of 10 or 20 vol. developer and 3oz of shampoo.

-Shake gently but well
-allow bottle to sit with the top off until the formula develops and changes color (about 5 minutes), apply as soon as color develops
-apply formula to areas you wish to color
-set timer for 10 minutes (don't exceed 10 minutes!)
-rinse, shampoo once, condition and style.
* Your next application MUST be a semi-permanent color of the SAME SHADE
- You should alternate every 3-4 weeks

By adding shampoo with the color and developer you weaken the permanent color, by doing this immediately after the relaxer this acts as a STAIN to the hair and the damage won't be as extensive. DOn't forget to continue doing your deep treatments to keep your hair in tip-top condition.

THis all seems really complicated to me but it makes sense. I hope that this may help you but really, it's my opinion that if you're going to mess with permanent colors go to a professional.
