I wanna use this Cantu curl stuff, but I don't want to have to use shampoo.

Any curly girls have any ill effects from petroleum? I know people are starting to seal with mineral oil...

This is a good question. Seems like co-washing couldn't get it off, so I don't know for certain.

Put some petroleum on your hands and trying washing it off with the conditioner and the baking soda and see what happens. Hth

Yes, a decent cleansing conditioner made just for the purpose of co-washing gets it out. For certain styles, I use grease so had to work to find the right product.

Which cleansing conditioner do you use?

why dont you want to use shampoo. You can always use a non-sulfate shampoo.

I haven't found one that isn't just as or more stripping than a sulfate shampoo, plus I'm trying CG again which is no shampoo. I also ran out of my As I Am Co-wash and I figure if baking soda can't get it off a cleansing conditioner might not be able to either.

i thought you can't use products with stuff like that in it, if you are using the CG Method. that needs to be removed with shampoo. a cleansing cream won't remove it. it will still leave some sort of residue.
