Anybody had success with glue in hair extensions? A co-worker suggessted that I glue in tracks to receive optimum growth.

I had this done as a teen and it was a horrible experience! I think I lost hair, even thought I used the remover stuff my aunt (who did my hair) gave me.

That was over 15 years ago, maybe the techniques have changed. I sure has heck wouldn't do it!

Yeah, sew it in or wig it up. I have used glue before and didn't notice any real damage, it was just a pain to get out.

I agree as well I still have thin spots in my hair from glue use years ago and im still looking for a way to repair it. Im sure your co-worker was trying to help but :nono:. Now I would recommend a sew in.

Oh no!! Please get a sew in or wigs. I am still dealing with issues from wearing glue in weave on my hair. But they do have a product called groprotect solution by morning glory products that I have used for quickweaves. It works wonders but really pricey. You wash it out and it leaves no glue residue on your hair. The only downside to this is that you can't take care of your hair underneath it because you have to mold your hair and apply it on top.

OH GOD!!! No! I did this 5 years ago and only had the glue in for 3 days, I used the glue remover and everything, and yet my hair was coming out in clumps. Don't do it. Get a sew in.

Glue it in??? You might want to watch this "co worker". Thats a horrible idea and suggestion. Everyone knows that stuff pulls out ur hair, even if you use the correct glue remover.

I used to get quick weaves..(no glue on scalp) they looked nice because I would put them in and then go to a salon and get them cut and styled.. my hair "grew" because hair is always growing.. but after about 2 years of faithfully wearing them I decided to finally wear my own hair.. It was long (IRL standards) but fragile and eventually broke off.

I don't suggest glued in extensions.
