I wonder if this is referring to using a heating cap. I use a heating cap when I deep condition and I usually use it for 1 to 1.5 hours -- 15 mins to 30 mins for the pre-shampoo treatment and then 30-40 minutes for a deep treatment. If it's a protein I sometimes try to follow up with another 30 minutes of deep moisturizing treatments. I have often wonder if all of heat -- even though it is the only heat that I use and it is in the form of a heat cap, not a blowdryer, might be counterproductive.
