can conditioner go bad

I have some ic deep conditioning reconstructor , it made my hair stiff so i added some apogee moisturising conditioner to it, this morning I opened the jar and it smelled strange,
could it have turned?

I haven't a clue. Where do you store your conditioner? I always try to store my hair and skin care items, and make-up, in cool, dark, and dry areas where they will not be affected by heat, sun or moisture. It's made my products last for a long time, because there are really expensive conditioners that I use sparingly or seasonally that I've had for many years and they're still good.

I too store my items in a cool, dark, dry place (just like my medications).
