Can coffee last for a week in the fridge

I made a large batch of coffee to use on my hair 4-5 times a week. I plan to make this weekly to reduce the amount of time it takes to do my hair. Will it go bad if I leave it in the fridge for a week?

No, it won't. I make 32 oz at a time and leave it in the fridge up to two weeks. I haven't experienced any spoilage or rancid smells. Making a large batch at a time helps me be consistent and disciplined in using it.

I don't know if it does deposit color but I use it to help with hair loss. Coffee contains caffeine which helps remove DHT from one's scalp. This helps reduce hair loss caused by DHT.

nope..... it's fine to store it. i keep about 16oz in the fridge at all times.

You are right. I'm shedding right now and I'm trying to combat it with coffee rinse.

I use half the container to rinse with. I make a gallon at a time and store them in 32 oz. containers. Freeze 3 of the containers and thaw them out and use them as needed. This way I don't have a large gallon taking up space in the 'fridge.

I shampoo twice a week; so one container lasts a week. I only have to make a gallon of coffee once a month.

I've been coffee-rinsing for over a year and it has really helped with stopping or preventing shedding and my crown area has thickened back up to its original thickness.

Since tea or coffee rinsing consistently, I haven't had any seasonal shedding or experienced any hair loss in my crown area for over 2 years.

I was doing the black tea rinses, but it was more expensive. I bought 10 12 oz. bags of coffee (from Target) during a B1G1 sale Dec 2010. And I store those bags in the freezer. Since the granules don't clump together, I remove what I need to make a gallon and return the bag to the freezer.

Regular, brewed coffee. I don't drink coffee and don't have a coffee maker.

I fill 3 - 2" tea balls w/coffee and add them to 1 gallon distilled water in a large pot. Bring it to a boil (boil for less than a minute), turn the stove off and let it cool and sit for a couple of hrs and pour it in my 32 oz containers. Put one container in the fridge and freeze the other three.

karezone, I have the brewing type of coffee but I don't have a coffee maker. I put the coffee in a very tight reusable tea bag that I bought online and pour hot water over it. I leave it in the water until it cold, and then I take the bag out, use my cheese clothe to filter any coffee powder left. I don't feel like buying a coffee maker since I don't really drink coffee.

I might give this a try. I don't have a coffee maker and I really don't want to buy one.
