I want a chi, however i think they are pricey... I'll admit I havent done much research on these. I do know I want a chi or something similar. I dont use much heat, but on relaxer days after drying and even maybe on special occasions, I'd like a quality flat iron that will straighten my hair in 1 stroke. I still have my old school regular curling irons and if I am "flat-ironing" my hair the irons seem to lose heat if I am going fast... I hope that made sense..

Anyhow can you recommend what you purchased, from where, how much, what you like/dislike about yours... thanks!!!

I bought the Generic Chi (sally's). Performs just as well as the real CHI for half the price.

I do have the real CHI but I'm looking into the SEDU...heard it was better.

I just purchased a 1" Sedu from Folica - I did some research and read where it had better reviews than the CHI - just my opinion ... I was torn between the two.

how much are you looking at spending? i got mine offa ebay. i know that Energist uses a knock-off that she says is just as good. i think it's called a U-Chi or something like that.

i also have a 20% coupon for Ulta if you want to have it. just let me know and i will drop it by

:wave:Hi denver! I think I may check out Sally's GVP knock off. I've got a 15% off there. Plus I can return it if it isnt up to par. My next question is what temp does everyone use. I know it would depend on hair type, strand type etc. But anyone know of a good starting point/temp??

:lachen:I am full of questions.

Hey, Shell!

I iron my hair on HIGH (whatever temperature that is :lachen:)

Here are some reference threads about temp
