There was a debate about this only a few pages back. Some say its the length of time you sit under the dryer, others say that a DC can only happen with products that penetrate the hair shaft (cortex?). Very few oils penetrate all the way through. I don't have the link on hand but you'll find it through a search.

Hi, welcome to the forum!

It was kind of hard to follow your post, because of the use of zeros instead of "o".

I don't believe you can use just any conditioner to DC. The conditioner must be able to pentrate the hair strand and not all condtioners do that

No, I don't believe it can. Many deep conditioners are not much more expensive than regular conditioner anyway, so it's probably just best to stick to them.

Also, I agree with Charzboss. Please can you use proper words instead of 'net speak because it is hard to follow your post and people tend to use regular words here. Thanks :)

I also don't think that any conditioner can be used as a deep conditioner, instant conditioners (think v05, suave) are made to coat the hair shaft, not penetrate it not matter how long its left on.

Welcome!

Everyone is right, not all conditioners can deep condition. Here's a very informative thread about it: http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=108700.

The technical definition of deep conditioning is using a conditioner that has hydrolyzed human keratin protein. That's because the molecules are small enough to get into the hair shaft and they repair all three parts of the strand. They actually go "deep".

The hair board definition varies, as you'll see in the other posted threads.
