I don't know any one personally, but if you travel to 125th St in Harlem on the East or West Side, many Nigerian and Ghanian ladies will offer to do your hair in a nearby salon. They also have business cards for you to look at.

The only people I run into on 125th are Senegalese and other French speaking Africans. I'm yet to meet a Ghanaian or Nigerian.

In Queens however, I do not know if her shop is still there- They're actually two one one the block behind the Coliseum(SP) going towards 89th ave. away from Jamaica. The other in the block of the 165th street terminal going towards the avenue. HTH

Sorry abioni! I've only chatted with a few ladies that I see by the train stations; one was Senegalese and the other Nigerian. This past summer, I've meet teen Ghanaians; I was told that more women from various countries work in nearby shops.

I've always gone to 125th to get my hair braided. They also have shops in the North BX on Boston & White Plains RD
