I'm wondering if there is anything out there that is a good substitute for this?? Or should I just suck it up and buy more?? (My 16 oz bottle is running out...)

I know there were numerous raves about it when it first came out -- is everyone still swearing by it, or have you switched to something else??

Do tell!!!

I've noticed a lot of you like Profectiv Breakfree... those who have tried both - would you consider this comparable to the UBH??

I still use the UBH Dew and Creme Moisturizer. As a matter of fact I'm about ready to order more. I love it.

I'm about to run out of UBH moisturizers too because I only ordered the 8 oz. I want to re-order more especially the Lotion Creme Moisturizer. I saw Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Moisturizing Lotion in Sally's and it seemed like it would be a good substitute-and I noticed that alot of people like that one too.

My hair is not loving it that much, but my daughter swears its' the greatest thing since sliced bread.

As for a substite, try the Pantene R & N, Ingredient wise they are way different but I love the smell It's not the greatest on my hair either. I think my hair just does'nt like creams much.

I'm a die hard dew fan...

I still like it for my daughter's natural hair. It has started to make my relaxed strands hard and crusted together, so I gave it up for all but the new growth which it makes very soft and moisturized.

I would say if you really like it, invest in the larger bottle and maybe a couple. It will save on the shipping and handling. I bought 3 32-ounce bottles at once because the shipping and handling for the 3 individually equalled a 16-ounce bottle.

Thanks Natori... I think I'll try either this one or the Profectiv Break Free...

That's a good suggestion, GMMP. I'm just trying to decide whether I REALLY like it THAT much or not...

maybe BB castor oil and aloe oil moisturizer. I love that stuff and started mixing (yeah, I'm always mixing something with something!) it with my ubh but it's great alone also.

Wow...

it's so funny how the original UBH Moisturizer post had about 300 responses, most of them praising this stuff like it was the best thing since sliced bread.

Ummm... where are all the UBH Moisturizer users now???

I still use the UBH moisturizer and I still like it. My only complaint is that it makes my curls fall, so I only use it when I am wearing a straight style or pony tail.

I use UBH moisturizer. I really like it. The only other moisturizer I use is carrot oil.

I love my UBH moisturizer and Dew very much, however, when I run out before ordering more, I will buy protectiv breakfree or Elasta QP creme moisturizer. I haven't been able to find anything that can be substituted for Dew though.

I just bought this yesterday (B&B Oil moisturizer) and it works pretty good. Its inexpensive too...obviously I'll have to try it more than 2 days but I wish i'd picked it up a long time ago. I've never used UBH so I can't comment on that.

Here are the ingredients:

Water, Canola Oil, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Castor Oil, Polyquaternium 32, Polysobate 80, Aloe Vera Gel, DL Panthenol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Fragrance, D& C Red #33.

Re: Calling All Ladies Who Have Tried UBH Moisturi

I noticed that there seem to be a alot of "fads" on the board.
UBH, Surge, etc...I think I'm gonna just find what works for my hair and stick to it...I have some of the UBH(when i first started it was the fad, ) and the ingredients aren't that great but I much prefer my own mixtures.

Okay, I have the B&B Moisturizer. I like the scent. I may wash my hair tonight and try it then.

Thanks, Karonica! Now, I will definitely not try the BB Oil Moisturizer. You've just saved me some money.

I love my UBH Dew & Moisturizer.....if I'm low on budget & i'm getting low...I'll use unrefined Shea Butter and that last for about 2-3 days before I need to reapply. There are good moisturizers (Hydratherma Leave-In) but nothing compares to that UBH Moisturizer. NOTHING!!!!

Dew was one of the first moisturizers I bought. Never really liked it at all, it just didn't do anything for my hair. I quickly realised that I need creamy type moisturizers.

*I swear I came looking because I was like Lindy is up on the hair board with a thread.

*then realized it was a digging deep in the thread crates scenario..
