Sweetest Taboo
It was suggested that I use this when I take my braids down so I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and purchased a small bottle.

The lady who recommended this to me has BEAUTIFUL hair and she wear braids during the summer months like me. I saw her again today and I swear it seemed like her hair grew overnight. She said this stuff was "magic in a bottle".

What's so great about it? What does it do for your hair?

i just started using it this month. so far, i will say that my hair is softer and my curls were more defined. but its too soon to tell. i use that and that blue green algae hair mask. i will take note of any changes.

It's a great conditioner. A wonderful detangler and hair strengthener.

When I was having an excessive amount of shedding...it helped cut down on it greatly.

same results (didnt try the mask though)

I am not crazy about the smell but I guess since you can rinse it out it will be worth giving this a try. Do you follow the directions and leave it in for two minutes then rinse? Can this be used with heat?

There is nothing else quite like it! I have been using it for many years and its one of the few products I've remained fiercely loyal to.

I have been using GPB for over a year. It is an excellent all around conditioner, it will moisturize, strengthen, and detangle you hair. For me it also helps make my scalp less oily and I love the smell. I purchase the 16 oz. Bottle about every 6 weeks.

I have been using it for months now I usally leave it on for
15 to 20 min with and without heat the results are great.
I bought two bottles on sale.

Hi simplycee,

I absolutely love AO GPB!! I use it once a month as a protein conditioner. It strengthens my hair, moisturizes, detangles beautifully, and really defines my curls.

I usually leave the conditioner on for 15-20 minutes. I don't use any heat.

Been using for over a year now and LOVE it. Personally, I like the smell, but don't worry about that, the smell fades by the time your hair dries, but the awesome softness, bounce and strength will last through to your next wash! I have 4b relaxed hair and use it a "soft core" protein treatment every few weeks to add strength. I have left on as little as 5 minutes and as long as 1 hour, with heat and without heat and the results are great each time -- it does what it says -- it is a great conditioner to help maintain the delicate protein/moisture balance in relaxed hair.

I've been using it for almost a year now and i love how it makes my hair feel. I got use to the smell (i kinda like it

). It makes my hair feel stronger, and it's a lite protein conditioner so u can use it on a weekly basis w/o fear of protein overload. I leave it in anywhere from 10-30 mins, no heat, and wash out. The directions say 5 to 10 mins and rinse out for a full minute. Shoot, i like it so much i got the whole bottle in my bag rite now b/c im going to the salon afterwork 2day.

I love how it makes my hair soft and moisurized,
(I actuallty like the smell!!it was the first product I bought after joining this forum and it is definitely a keeper

Ditto on what everyone else said, GPB is the ishhh!

I use it w/heat for 20 mins. I used to use it as a pre-wash treatment too w/o heat for an hour. I like to let stuff sink in.

I just purchased a bottle last weekend. It helped my hair greatly. I was battling with shedding and some breakage but GPB practically curbed it. Do any naturals used this product on a weekly basis?

BTW--has anyone tried AO's Moisturizing Jelly. I think I like it for moisturizing my scalp!

Just keep in mind that when you use it with heat, the smell seems to stay with you longer...

Well, you'll know it's me when I walk by smelling all "organic" (as Lindy refers to it).

Vanessa:

I got my 2 oz bottle from Vitamin Shoppe for $2.20. The lady who recommends it to me shops at a health food store, who also sells an entire line of Aubrey Organics. I wish I could take a picture of her hair it is BEAUTIFUL. She calls this "magic in a bottle".

I have heard of it but I wasn't sure what it does that makes it so popular. I am going to give it a try next week.

I forgot to mention that I get GPB from a Wholefoods market and that I get better results when using it for 10 minutes without heat!
