I was reading my first for women magazine and it said to strip locks of dulling product buildup, work 1 cup buttermilk into hairafter shampooing," recommends celebrity stylist John Ottavino. "Let sit for 5 mins then rinse, then finish with conditioner. The lactic acid in buttermilk removes dead cells from the hair shaft to reveal healthy, shiny strands that are a cinch to manage.

I am off to the store tommorrow to get some buttermilk. /images/graemlins/driver.gif

I'll let you guys know how everything turns out. I'm walking for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation tomorrow, so I'm sure my hair will be a mess when I finish the race! I'll post tomorrow after I wash my hair. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've heard something about the latic acid in milk that reveals new cells and brings youth and radiance to the skin. But I never thought about doing the same for the hair though. I may give it a try 'cause my hair needs a formula for the "Fountain of Youth". Please post your results after using buttermilk for the hair. TIA

Babycurls and neijon let me know your results. Babycurls thanks for the addtional info. I keep forgetting to get my buttermilk but since I am washing today. I will be sending my neice to the store to pick up me some. Results will be posted.

Doin the Bump to see if anyone tried this yet. I forgot to pick mine up when I went to the store the other day.

I was at the store today, as well as Friday, and didn't purchase any. I'll pick up a small bottle of buttermilk later this week. Posting results in a few days.

Ok, everyone I kept forgetting to pick up the buttermilk and I finally did. It made my hair looked great and it felt great. The only thing is that buttermilk was really cold. I will let it sit out first. This will be a main staple for me. Anyone else?
