Are there things you never thought you could do with/to your hair, but now you can?

For example: I never thought I could air dry my hair, but now I can. Now, I do it each time I wash my hair.

I never thought I could extend my relaxers, but thanks to high-quality products that allow me to tame new growth, now I can.

I never thought that I could stop using brushes to coax my hair into buns, but now I can. I just use my small seamless comb.

I never thought I could extend my relaxers

I never thought I could do a rollerset AT ALL, much less well enough to get compliments on my 'do

I never thought I could take better care of my hair than a professional

Never thought I could wrap my hair, it took a lot of practice and fustration to learn it but now I can.

Never though I'd be able to do rollersets using the clips instead of the covers that slide over them but now I can.

I never thought I could go natural and wear my hair in so many different styles, but I can and I love it!

I never thought I could:

rollerset(snap on covers saved me)
use flexi rods
extend my relaxers
care SO MUCH about my hair

I never thought that:

I could do roller sets ( I do them now w/covers, but would like to master being able to do them with the clips. :))

I could grow my hair past neck length, now with the help of this board and proper care I know I can do it.

Never thought that I could love & care for my hair without a steady stylist in my life, but now I CAN!!

Never thought that I could be consistent, but now I AM!!

Never thought that I could create and stick to a regimen, but now I CAN!

Never thought that I could find a decent salon again, but now I HAVE!

Never thought that I could wrap up my hair, but now I CAN!

Never thought that I could rollerset properly, but now I CAN!

Never thought that I could stretch my relaxers, but NOW I AM!!

Never thought that I could tame the NG, but now I CAN!!

Never thought that I would keep up with vitamins, herbs, & nutrition as a whole, but NOW I CAN! :)

Never thought that water would be my best friend, but NOW IT IS!

Never thought that I could learn & retain so much knowledge regarding nutrition (natural & others), but NOW I HAVE!

I never thought I could airdry.
I never thought I could rodset (because they said perm rods, which I thought were for white people only LOL)
I never thought I'd transition back to natural.
I never thought I could wash (or co) more than once a week and not dry my hair out.

Never thought that i could extend a relaxer
Never thought that i could not use heat
Never thought that i could get rid of dandruff
Never thought that i could do a roller set

I never thought that I could self relax
I never thought I could give myself a rinse.

I was too scared to do any of these things.

I'm now my own beautician with the help of this board.

I never thought I would get control of my scalp psariosis.

I never thought I could self relax.

I never thought I would have hair long enough for a decent french braid (wearing one right now!)

I never thought I could do a decent flexi rod set (gonna try this weekend).

I never thought I could grow hair past my shoulder blades (currently 24 inches long!)

I never thought I could wear my hair without pressing it :ohwell:

But nowadays pressing my hair and using heat only happens every blue moon! It's all about the natural heat-less styles

I never thought I could braid my own hair, but I can! And I'm getting compliments!

I never thought that I could love washing my hair. Luuuv it!

I NEVER… thought I could go without having my hair braided...I was really ashamed of wearing my real hair out because I thought it was too short...yeah I know...trust I no longer think that anymore! :)

I NEVER…thought I could stop relaxing my hair

I NEVER…thought my hair could curl

I NEVER…thought my hair could grow past my shoulders!!

**I never thought my hair could do a lot of things but those things are a reality now!*** :p

For anyone that want to learn to rollerset with clips instead of the snap on covers try the double prong metal clips. I was amazed the first time I used them cause I tried for so long to rollerset without the covers. I hate the demarcation line it leave on my hair. The double prong clips hold so well that for most of the rollers I only need one clip where as with the other ones I would try two clips for each roller and still couldn't get a good hold. There are a couple different brands out there, try to get the ones that look the thickest, I think they are stronger and hold better.

I never thought I could care for my own hair without the help of a stylist but I do!

I never thought I could extend my relaxers but now I relax every 3 months!

I neever thought I could grow my hair to brastrap length but I'm almost there!

I never thought I could

- Transition for 18 mths
- Go natural
- Eliminate heat
- Air dry
-----> Luv my natural hair

I never thought could:

......wear my hair without pressing it

......grow my hair beyond the nape of my neck

......brush my natural hair w/ one of those vent-type brushes. Now, my favorite brush is my Goody Ouchless brush for curly hair. I  that thing.
