I am getting concerned about the hair in the center of my head. I noticed that there is a section in the very center of my head that is shorter than the rest of my hair.

When I bun / phony pony, I always use a baggie underneath. Whereas the hair in the baggy is alway moisturized, when I take the bun down nightly, the hair underneath is dry and crunchy, and the shrinkage is horrible. Could this be damaging my hair? How do I keep that part of my hair moisturized?

i have the same problem with my hair i thought it was because i wear it out to much. I was considering the baggy method.

The baggy method has kept my hair mositurized, but I am getting concerned because my hair is dry at the roots, and essentially stays wet all day under the baggy. I am just wondering if that can lead to breakage.

That's why I try to keep my roots moisturized along with the ends.
