I thought it would be fun to start a thread about creative ways we challengers can wear our buns over the next 365 days. I personally am exploring lots of different accessories to stave off boredom of wearing the same style. So, let's all get together with tips, looks and suggestions on ways we can keep our buns fresh and beautiful!

Here's my photo--this is an ornament made of two hair combs joined together with a jewel-type string, kind of like a necklace:

That's pretty! I love sparkley things :yep:

Here are two that I do, they're both really fast and easy:

very nice ladies! Keep the ideas coming! right now all I do is twist my hair around and use those sticks or pin it. I need more ways to make it look pretty

I use something along these lines for my buns. I got my hair candy from Sally's and H&M

I don't have a pic since I do donut buns I'll sometimes tie a bandana around the bun itself (not my head and the bun)

I got the bun tutorials from longhairloom.com. I can't remember the direct link though. I made a thread about it, but can't find it. The thread is called something like 'Tired of the same ol bun? Looky here!'

Trying to show y'all my bun-hope this works

My favorite bun is in my siggy.

I don't leave home without it...well, unless its in its curly state then its different!

But, I love shiny, pretty accessories!

I'm so happy that I just learned how to post pics:0) Check out my bun on page 2. Flat twists in the front and individual twists in the back.Bun on the side.

You ladies have some really nice buns.

My issue is that I have a very mild texturizer and my hair is thick and hardly ever straight, so my buns don't come out as smooth...I use scrafs, etc too...so I went and got some phony ponies to wear.

How do you ladies (with texlax, etc.) get your hair so straight looking for your buns...??? HELP!

Don't stress your hair in an attempt to make it straight. Just go with your natural curl pattern and do some pinned buns. My bun was in flat twists and single twists and I have shoulder length hair. Also I undid bantu knots and pinned my hair using a tutorial from Traycee.

I am learning to spruce up my buns.

So far not doing so well but I will get some pics of my next experiment with big hairpins.

I think that next wash day I'm going to experiment with two buns--one on top and one on the bottom with a part in between. Has anyone seen this type of style? I really don't want them to look like two donuts on top of each other!

My hair is about the same length. Can you point me to the tutorial you used? I have some pins but don't know how to use them yet.
