Brown gel makes my hair super hard..?

So i got 'Godess Braids'
and the stylist used Brown gel and was about to be Spritz on my hair!! My response oh no Sister i aint suffering from dry hair..
Ok so now the Brown gel is super hard on my hair feels like a crunchy something so i want to loosen up the gel on my edges cause i dont want em to break...How can i loosen up the brown gel on my edges???erplexed

Maybe sprtiz it lightly with water and then add an oil sheen and lay it back down with a s ilk or satin scarf. Honestly, at this point in my journey I probably would wash my hair because something like that could damage your hairline if its making it that dry???

Oil will loosen up the brown gel.

i love brown gel, but i mix it with oil. Eco Style just came out with some new Olive Gel. I like it! maybe try that. gives the same hold without the extra hard/dry hair.

I mix my brown gel with oil (well, okay, grease) and water.

I didnt apply anything to undo the crunch. I just lightly brushed over the area until it felt softer and smoother. Dunno why it worked but it did. Had to teach my granny..she was ripping her hair out.
