Hello

Ladies, I was wondering do you know if there are any topical growths you can use while nursing. My dd is 4 months old. topical growth such as BT, MN
or even the indian products.

Thanks in Advanced .

Don't know what you can use, but I know you canNOT use BT, MSM, or MN while nursing.

Hopefully someone will chime in with some options for you. I would be very hesitant to use anything while nursing.

Topical agents are always a tough call
When I was nursing, I didn't use anything because I wasn't sure which were absorbed into the system and could be transferred in my breastmilk
I am pregnant again now and feel safest using some of the indian hair oils, but only after I researched them extensively on the internet
The ones that appear safest to use (and have been used with pregnant women before) are shikakai and amla.
If you are unsure, definitely check with your doctor or your child's pediatrician.

I personally will stay off topical growth tx and vitamins (except prenatals).
I know its tough but its better to be safe, I counldnt couldnt use anything for my post natal shedding (was shedding for 6 months) because of this.
How long are for planning to breastfeed is its not over 1yr then its not for long. I breastfed for 10 months and its wasnt that difficult to lay off a few things.

Congratulations on your new arrival!
I gave birth to my son 6 weeks ago.
I personally stopped taking growth aides and vitamins when I found out I was pregnant and will not resume till I have finished nursing.
However I have read that naturallady took BT while nursing no problems.
Goodluck with whatever you decide.

If you are willing to get a relaxer and/or get your hair dyed while nursing - both harmful, posionous chemicals that are known to have the potential to enter the bloodstream, I realllllllllly wouldn't be stressing some oil - that might be the safest thing TO use.... :lachen:
