breakage or new growth??

I have been noticing alot of flyways lately but I don't have bad breakage. Could this be new growth?? TIA

Are you transitioning? It could be newly shedded hairs growing in...and since that new hair is curly it won't lay down as flat as straight hair. I am noticing the same thing with my hair. This is my theory anyhow...
