So far this summer has had its ups and downs. My body is doing great b/c I have beenw working out like a maniac...but my hair on the other has dealt with some considerable blows.....Back in April I used Nexxus Emergencee and it broke off 2 sections of my hair in the back of my head. I realized that I used emergencee too close together and my hair obviously couldn't handle it. Since then my hair has been slow growing back there...but my sweating from workouts aren't helping either. I want to get my long hair back...back there! Can you ladies help me! What could I do...besides CO washes (4x a week for me). What about styles or day-to-day maintenance? Any suggestions. My hair just hasn't been the same since then.

I think everyone's had a bad experience w/ Emergencee. You gotta use it correctly or else. It seems as if you only use that stuff if your hair is really damaged.

what you might want to do is cut back on the conditioner. Its good that you're washing your hair 4x a week, but too much cond will dry your hair, especially if you're using a protein cond. also, keep your hair in protective styles.

what shampoo/conditoner/moisturizer are you using?

I'm working at least 5-6 days a weeks and my scalp is sweaty after my workouts. Thats why I CO so frequently. Right now I toss up between Suave Coconut and Paul Mitchells Instant Daily Moisture condish. But I need something thats like off the HOOK good and make my hair feel extremely moisturized.

For shampoo I have fallen in love with ORS Olive Oil Aloe Shampoo

i've spent this summer repairing my hair and i certainly see progress. i think it really comes down to just giving your hair time to heal. do the methods described for healthy hair...keep it moisturized, LOW manipulation, use the right amount of protein, bun it up, keep your ends dusted, use a topical regrowth product if necessary, and get a healthy regimen going. your hair just needs time, and your patience, to heal. you'll start seeing the results of giving your hair a pampered vacation.
