I got my cornrows done about a week and a half ago. These things are already lifting and in the front its lifting. Please tell me my hair is growing that's why it's doing it.

Second I get these dry patches in my head it sort of looks like a scab but it's dry...I oil my scalp daily why does this happen and what can I use?

I use to have the dry patches also, however since I do CW's I do not have that probleum any longer, I have learned from this hair board that oil does not moisturize the hair, I now use it to lock the moisture in.HTH

Im having the same problem with my cornrows as far as the lifting and I was wondering the same exact thing. I hope its growth..but im not sure. I went to an african braid shop to get them done and of course after they were done my head was killing me, it hurt to sneeze, but after two days they didnt hurt anymore.
