My stylist didn't realize that I had over six months of NG; not wanting to overprocess my hair, he didn't pull the relaxer all the way through three weeks ago. :wallbash:

Now I'm pretty underprocessed, and I gotta wait at least another month to get it corrected. In the meantime, I'm looking for cute, creative styles to tide me over.

I have jaw-length hair, cut into a bob. Would I have enough hair to do braidouts? If so, how should I do them?

Please help!

Yes, you can do braidouts with that length.
I sould suggest making 4 cornrows and then spraying it with some setting lotion or wrap foam. MAke sure it is 100% dry before you unbraid it.

If you don't know how to cornrow, go to my fotki (my videos) and check out my cornrow tutorials.

For real, ladies?

I'm gonna try it! I'm really excited!

I already have a mixture of SAA, coconut oil, Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum, and water in my spray bottle... perhaps I should add some Silk Elemements Wrap foam in there, too? Or should I do the wrap lotion by itself?

yes you can do a braid out on your hair. Use a little leave in and seal with coconut oil you will be nice and shiny

:Rose:Hi Soror! :Rose:

--You can definitely do a braid out with shorter hair. My only advice is to do the braids much smaller, so they can be more defined since your tresses are jaw length.

Thanks Soror!

OK. I'm sooooo excited!
Last night after oiling my scalp, I decided to do a "dry" run and braided my hair. I tried 7 braids. I didn't wash my hair before--I had rollerset it a couple days earlier with the water mix I had. After braiding, I applied some wrap lotion on my braids and went to bed.

Woke up this morning, undid them, and voila! Silky, wavy, and so curly!
What I will do the next time is make them much, much smaller (perhaps around 10 braids would do?), and start my cornrows much further up (for some strange reason I start about an inch down).

Y'all are absolutely the BEST-EST!

Got me a new summer style... YEAH!!!! :bouncegre

OK, pink gator - I'm glad that you got good results but...HELLO...:click: pics!
You should know that we won't be satisfied unless we see how pretty it turned out::bat:
What's up with that?:spank:

LOL! I'll post some tomorrow after my wash!

I thought about it yesterday, was looking dead at my camera and said I'll do it later.

Then I went to the gym... LOL!
