Any suggestions for braid sprays or moisturizers for micros?????Let me know the brand and where I can buy it!
Thanks!!

African Pride has a new braid sheen spray with tea tree and peppermint oil. My hair loves it. I spray it on at night and wrap my hair with a satin scarf. In the morning, my hair feels great :yep:

I like ALOE VERA JUICE, GLYCERIN, and DISTILLED water the best. I have kinky twists in and it is the bomb.

U can get all that at Walmart and it will last a LONG time.

Glycerin, distilled water, aloe Vera gel and Infusium 23 mix with peppermint, spearmint and rosemary essential oils.

I wear alot of wigs and braids the peppermint and spearmint keeps your scalp cool in the summer.

I read somebody's suggestion to only use Aloe Vera juice and distilled water and that is what I have been doing for the past week.

My scalp has not itched at all. I'm going to add conditioner to my braids and steam my hair today but nothing is going on my scalp except the aloe vera juice mixed with water.

If you ladies are having a hard time finding ingredients for your braid spray then i suggest going to IHERB.COM.

I just spent $28 (w/ shipping) and i got this:

-32oz Aloe Vera Juice
-16oz NOW Brand Veggie Glycerin
-THREE bottles of Heritage Brand Rose Petal RoseWater @ 8oz each.
(They also have sandalwood, lavendar & jasmine rosewater too!)

Best deals i've found on the net so far, even beat out E-bay. I was not about to be riding around town trying to find those ingredients and overpaying for them like i did initially.

And someone posted about being a first time customer on iherb.com gets you a $5.00 off discount i believe.

All that weight and all i paid was $24 plus a cheap $4 shipping/handling. Great site!

Now i'm just gonna find a bigger spray bottle so i don't have to keep refilling/remixing. Looking for a 12-16oz bottle that will "mist" instead of spray.

may I suggest that you make your own as well. I have been doing it with rose water, glycerin, SAA, lavender and rosemary EO, and distilled water. My hair loves it. :lick: Another cheap alternative that isn't homemade but does have excellent ingredients is the African Royale BrdX Spray. It has horsetail and other nice herbs in it in addition to glycerin. I also have human hair micros and both have worked out well for me.

Good old sulfur 8 braids spray. Every time I try something else, I'm always disappointed

Infusium 23/water, Glycerin/Water/Aloe Vera , S-curl or Care-free curl, Eqyss Avocado Mist Detangling Spray and Premier Rehydrant Spray.

These are the ones that I have been using and I am going into my 6th week of micros. BTW, I 'm natural.
