I reached BSL in November? I haven't seen any more growth. Did I get soo happy about reaching this level that I've gotten careless? I think I read here that progress can be slow from this point on  . Is this true?

I think it can be a mixture of the two! Some people get "comfortable" once they reach one of their goals. Maybe you need to re-evaluate and compare what you did in the beginning of your journey to what you are doing now. Congratulations on reaching BSL!!!

Congrat on reaching BSL!:)

Have you changed your routine or products? are you wearing your hair out more?

Maybe your hair is in resting phase. :perplexed I am impatiently working on reaching armpit length - so I would be thrilled and flaunting it at BSL!

I have been wearing my hair out more. I guess in the summer with it being so hot I just automatically pulled it up. I am still rollersetting it and cutting back on the heat. I last used heat on x-mas and on my roots only on Sunday. Maybe my camelhair coat is the culprit :( even though I try to keep a scarf on it. I guess I will start bunning again:)

I was going to agree that it might be in its resting stage right now. Just keep doing what you did to get it here because you still want to maintain that length. (The pics in your avi & siggy are very pretty!) :)

I'm planning to get comfortable at my goal length. Once I hit mid-back I'm going to trim my hair every couple of months to stay there. Or better, have my hair cut into a style and get it recut every 2-3 months.

Every since I hit bsl its been slow growing for me too. I know its not my regimen, I haven't changed it. No heat except to rollerset and deep con so I figure it must be a resting phase for me as well. My ultimate goal is midback and I am close but getting there at a snail's pace. I'll begin trimming to remain at mid back once I get there.

Congrats on BSL!!

I think this is psychological for some people. The hair DOES go through resting phases so that may be the case, but often, it appears that it's creeping past BSL when it's actually growing at a normal pace. I didn't have that hovering over BSL when I reached it so I can't relate or make suggestions other than to continue to take great care of your hair and be patient!!

HHG!

Since reaching BSL, my hair seems to be growing a tad slower as well...... however, I attribute that partly to my carelessness. Because im one of those folks who got "comfortable" once i reached this goal. I def. havent been doing the things i was doing when i initially started this hair journey. So in the 07, i have definitely vowed to step up my hair game again, cuz i was slacking.... but i still wanna make WL by Dec. :)

Congrats on reaching BSL!

I agree w/the other ladies on the resting faze or a combination of that and getting comfy w/reaching that goal. I know a lot of ladies seem to have slow growth at this point, hmmmm. I wonder if that's true or if it's just that we need to be extra careful when dealing w/this new length (or any new length for that matter) when it comes to styling day, not sure but I'm definately going to to pay close attention during this relaxer stretch and stay on point.

BTW, yours and your daughters hair is pretty.

I too agree with the other ladies. Are you still having to relax at the same schedule that you have been used too? if so, then there is growth. We may be at the resting stage which could also be indicative that we may be reaching internal terminal lengths. But only time will tell. I have been wearing my hair down more often since it reach BSL. But I am going to try to keep babying it to see if I can acheive Mid Back. Afterall I did sign up for that BC for 2007. But if not, I am very satisfied with my hair length, I just need some sort of style.

Thanks Ladies. One other thing I noticed is that when im driving, I can feel my hair pulling behind me on the car seat. I guess this is kinda like sitting on ones hair. It's time to pull it up.

OT: i12somh, thank you
