I am very happy. I did the BC today and had natural twists done. I am feeling happy, free and so glad to have finally cut off the last 5 inches which I was just so tired of looking at, caring for, detangling and simply knowing the ends impeded my progress and natural hair beauty. The braider was good, I'd seen her work before so chose her to do the do.

looks really good. how long was your transition?

LovinLea, I transitioned for 15 months. I found my products for supple, long lasting moisturization so decided it was time to move onward and upward. So glad the transition is over, done, kaput!!!!!!!! Now, I can move forward without having to pay so much attention to those scraggly ends.

Congrats on your BC!! I love your twists. I understand how you feel about getting rid of the scraggly ends and being free I can't wait to be there.

Congratulations!!! Looks GREAT!!!!

What wonderful products did you use?

Jazz, I've been spritzing with water then using ALBA BOTANICA LEAVE-IN or DR. BRONNER'S LAVENDER COCONUT LEAVE-IN for the last month. I prefer the ALBA which gives me such suppleness it's amazing. I then seal with any oil I feel for the day-usually keo-karpin or DABUR AMLA LITE. The braider today used the pink IC strengthener in addition to the ORS LOCK TWIST GEL I brought with me.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the thumbs up. Woke up this morning after loosely scarfing my hair last night. I was afraid to see what it would look like but after a water then leave-in patted through it the fluffiness returned. I feel brand new..such a good thing. The attention while walking the dog this morning was a good ego boost.
chopped hair on the floor.jpg I had to pick some up, stare at it then photograph it with my camera phone.:look:
