Hi,
Is there someone who has heard or tried this product? Let me know about your experience. I am thinking of trying it because my scalp is so sensitive that no matter what I use I always burn.

Thanks Jlove. I checked out the site. I will give it a try because I want to get away from the chemicals for a while and give my hair a rest. If anyone has anymore advice please share.

Did you hear something bad about the product honeydew. Why are you scared?

I guess because I have not heard many reviews and I don't know what to expect. I mean, it seems like it would be nice if it works. That's why I ordered. I just cannot get up enough nerve to try it.

I was thinking of doing a strand test, but I don't even have enough nerve to do that!

Well I ordered it today but I am not going to use it for another 6 weeks, but from what I read you should do a strand test just to see how soft or straight it gets and to also see how long you leave it in for. Also check out the website Jlove recommended their are lots of reviews about it and all sounds good.

If you try it before I do let me know how it goes.
Fedup with chemical relaxers.

I tried one like it, called Naturalaxer. It did loosen and soften a bit, it was like a super conditioner. Made my hair really soft and shiny. Realize that my hair is not very tightly coiled, fine. It did not do just like regular relaxer, but I think if I had natural hair I would use it a lot.

I know I posted this on another thread but I used naturalaxer in 2003 for a few months before I got a relaxer. It really softened my hair. It still had the natural look but it was much easier to comb and my presses lasted until I submerged my hair in water. However mild it is, like most things used, its a chemical. The question isn't whether or not its natural but whether or not it will alter the natural state of your hair.. I am sure the bodiphier is the same thing just from another brand. Also they seem to have better customer service than Naturalaxer. Also there is another one out from a Crockett and Co called a mineral softener...they charge much more and say that you have to buy their pricey shampoo.

I used the Bodiphier once. I didn't have any adverse effects, no hair loss. The conditioner is really good and made my hair very soft after the application. It didnt burn but you have to make sure you only apply to new growth. I might actually try it again now that you mention it.

Ok, I just visited the website and that definitely is a chemical. I dont care how natural they say it is. Its also one of those products where you have to use the other supplemental products to get the best benefits. Depending on your hair type a Bodiphier is only going to get it so straight. Also, what are you doing before you relax that causes you to burn? What do you base with? Are you doing anything active that may cause your pores to open up?

Hey Ladies,
Glad to read that a few more of you are interested in the Bodiphier. See some of the other recent threads for more info.
I've been touting this product on here for several years now, and still love it.

Yes it is way different from the Naturalaxer. That dried out my hair, but otherwise I saw absolutely no difference. The ingredients are different too.

With the Bodiphier you do not need to use their full line of products. The kit comes with everything you'll need. I use my own conditioners.

All the bad stuff that comes along with traditional relaxers is nonexistent with the Bodiphier. Two things to note:
1, hair probably won't get as straight as with traditional relaxer
2, hair will eventually return to its pre-Bodiphier state- mine does after about six weeks post. I just redo it. It's so easy. Hair retains strength- no more dead ends all over my shoulders, and I don't have a need to do regular trims anymore.

Hope this info helps!
