Boar bristle brushes

How do they get the bristles off the boar?

At Hair Boutique.com they have "Ambassador Hairbrushes" and it says "these great brushes are made with natural boar bristles that are sheared humanely from farm-raised animals". So that's one way. I'm not sure how one would shear a hog inhumanely. But I don't want to think about it.

I'm a little worried that they had to state that they did it humanely... as if the usual way it is done isn't humane...?
Will try and get hold of an Ambassador boar bristle brush if I'm getting one then.
