I don't mean to embarrass you but I absolutely love your avatar. Please tell me that's you. The braid is so gorgeous! /images/graemlins/clap.gif

Thank you! That's me, yes. The style is made up of two different braids that alternate down the length of your hair. You can leave the finished braid down or tuck it under (which is what I did) to make a "cage". This keeps your ends protected. If you have the Sunci U-style kit, it's the last style in the booklet. If not, here's how to do it:

First you need to know how to do a Herringbone braid.
1. Take a wide section of hair at the crown. Split it into two even sides.
2. Take a small section of hair from the leftmost part of the right side. You're now holding three sections of hair.
3. Pass the small section of hair OVER the entire right section and put it on the rightmost side of the LEFT section.
4. Reverse the directions for the left side. Take a small section from the leftmost part of the left side, cross it OVER the entire left section and place it on the leftmost side of the RIGHT section of hair.
5. You now have TWO large sections of hair again. Hold them firmly and twist them around (like the twist hairstyle, a two-stranded braid) twice.
6. Add more hair to each of the two sections and repeat steps 1-6 until you're finished. You can either secure the braid and wear it out or tuck the ends under.

Here are some of my larger pictures:

Thank you. I did it very loosely, but you can certainly do it a little tighter for a different look. If the directions aren't clear, I can try to do a step by step with photo directions.

B, is your hair all one length? I ask because when I braid my hair (which is still in layers /images/graemlins/frown.gif ) I have fly aways all over the place. Again, it's really beautiful. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

No, I have layers too. That's how my hair grows naturally. The shortest layers are 8-10 inches long. To combat fly-aways, try a light creme. Use only enough to give the palm of your hand a glossy look and slide your hand over the section of hair you want to lie down.
