Blowing out the roots

I can't seem to get mine straight. How do you ladies do it? I have Babyliss Pro Diamond Titanium blow dryer. Do I need a special brush?

Also is doing this twice a week bad for the new growth? Thanks.

I have the willie morrow comb as well and with a good dryer, it really gets your new growth quite straight. Im 4b relaxed.
