My hair does not blow in the wind:whyme:, does yours?
What do you do, to get that BITW looking hair. Are the creme's and oils too heavy for my hair, do I need heat (I do have frizzy ends). There's a secret:sekret: out there to this, and I need the answer.
HELP

Too much moisturizer and oil might be weighing your hair down, plus the shorter your hair is, the less likely it is to move. At least that was my experience when I had a very short bob.

girl i'm sure u got blow in the wind hair.... I get it when i either blowdry or rollerset. and i use a dab of a light creme moisturizer like eQP recovery oil moisturizer. And keracare humecto is great at creating super bouncy lite hair. And those frizzy ends could be another reason why your hair isn't bouncy. U may want to gradually dust them off....

For me the less products i use, the more Blow in the wind hair i have

no oil! That is the key. A good quality blowdry and flat iron with no oil, and a great heat protector. But it needs a great blow dryer and iron. My stylist uses Chi dryers and irons. I find that if I am conditioned well, my hair is never dry or dull from this. But I would not do it too often. I do it every other week.

Also roller sets give lots of bounce as long as you don't use too much setting lotion and too much product.

Then thats it, cause I always use either half the jar, or 1/3 of a bottle of stuff. :ohwell::ohwell: Wow, who knew, less is more. Thank you my LHCF-dians, yet, another head saved, from looking a jiucy, runny H.A.M:dance7:

Actually, you do have to use generous amounts of certain products while for others a few drops suffice. Have a look at the instructions and follow them - especially when trying something new. Once you become familiar with the effect the product has on your hair you can adjust the amount accordingly. Good luck.

I have BITW hair. However, your hair gets stuck on your lipgloss. Also, wind is bad for your hair!!!! it makes it tangled and could contribute to damage.

Thanks for the reality check, rdm. You're absolutely right.

I agree w/those who have said to minimize product in your hair. Clean, light hair is more likely to blow and bounce as you walk. :) One drawback (for me anyway) is that my hair sometimes gets stuck to my lipstick. That is really annoying. The end usually breaks off on the lipstick and then I have a piece of hair on my lips that is hard to get off. *smh* That's the only drawback, i think.... otherwise, wind-blown, tousled hair looks very nice and even sexy.

I so agree. The hair in the lipgloss or lipstick is so annoying. But less product in the hair is what makes it BITW.

See I don't see any ill effects of hair blowing in the wind. Yeah it gets on your lipstick, but mine doesn't tangle. I love feeling the wind lift my hair (but I cw daily so maybe that's why no tangles).

tis' agree with everything she said :)

My hair does blow in the wind (unless my satin scarf is on tight! ). I love my swang! I attribute the body in my hair to airdrying in a rollerset (major, bouncy hair) and using a light touch with my hair products, especially my leave-in conditioner and any pomade/grease and serum I might use to seal the moisture in. Less really is best. :yep:

I agree with the less is best school of thought when it comes to oils and other hair dressings. And, I agree that hair sticking to lipstick/gloss is a pain. :)

I don't mind my hair blowing when the weather is mild but if it's very cold and gusty, I like to put my hair up or in one braid, etc., so it doesn't get damaged or messy looking.

I always have BLOW IN THE WIND HAIR because I blowdry. I've found that as long as my hair is in good condition, the wind doesn't tangle it or cause damage.

Isis, I love your Fotki pics-n-progress. I started taking spirulina in Nov, I have 500 mg tablets, they say you can take 3-8gm/d, I'm taking 16 tablets/d/ for 8gm. How much spirulina are you taking a day, and how long have you been taking it. I notice my hair and nails are growing like weeds. And your hair has great length, texture and appears to grow like weeds.
