I got a black rinse years ago and I thought it made my hair look thicker/healthier all around. It's been about 6 years since I've done it, and lately I'm thinking about trying the Colourshines since my hair has dulled over the years due to relaxing.

You can opt for the Jazzing's $3.99 rinse, OR go for a more blinding shine /images/graemlins/shocked.gif with Adore for $4.19. I just used this brand of rinse after reading some of the reviews from a previous thread. I really enjoyed the shine I got and am told that it lasts much longer than Jazzings /images/graemlins/smile.gif. HTH.
Rinsing or dyeing your hair black really makes a difference in the appearance of hair. It made my hair look so shiny, full and healthy! I might rinse my hair black for February or March of next year...and put in micros....*daydreaming*
I have used Tex & Tones jet black this year. I will try it again around Spring next year. It really made my hair look healthy even thought I was FI'ing e'eryday...*sigh*
When I was getting black rinses, my hair appeared much fuller, thicker, healthier, and MUCH shinier. I only stopped because my grandmother kept saying I looked like Elvira /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif. It really didn't match my skin, but I did LOVE the way it made my hair look /images/graemlins/smile.gif. I was getting the Jazzing/s.

Thanks nfynit! I will go for it.

Thanks dreemsold!
Your hair appeared much fuller and healthier than your hair now??? How is that possible? Your hair is gorgeous /images/graemlins/love.gif

Is a rinse harmful to your hair?

Not at all. You may run a risk with permanent color, but rinses are very gentle.

Who are you to talk, lol /images/graemlins/kiss.gif? YOUR hair is gorgeous! Yes, foxy, it did wonders for my hair's appearance, though /images/graemlins/smile.gif. In fact, I'd been considering getting a clear rinse just to see if I could get the same benefits without the color. If you go for it, just make sure you post the pics!

Hey SG!
Thanks for responding. I will try a black rinse as soon as i dig up some sebastian colourshine $$.
hmm...I wonder if $3 jazzing will do the same thing...
Your hair looks superlong in your avatar! I'm off to see if you have new pics in your album /images/graemlins/sekret.gif

Thanks Foxy!! You're the sweetest /images/graemlins/kiss.gif!
I did add some new pix in my album this past weekend. I tried the "Mane N Tail experiment!" I can't really tell when my hair is growing so I'm glad you think so.
As for the Adore rinse, let me know how you like it! I might try that instead of Colourshines. I also heard that Jazzing it really good. When I dyed my hair years ago, I used Beautiful Browns in Black because that's what my mom has always used. It came out pretty good, I just don't remember blinding shine.

I will keep you posted..I will take pics right after i try it. I think i will go with the Adore b/c someone says that it lasts longer.
Gorgeous pics SG! Your hair is definitely longer. Look how long it hangs over your shoulder and its not even completely straight! /images/graemlins/love.gif In the second pic you can see how close it to waist length. It's amazing how you are able to keep you fullness..b/c a lot of peoples hair thins out as it lengthens.
I use the Adore jet black rinse and I really like it. My hair is already black, but I use the rinse for shine. It does make my hair look kind of thicker too. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
PLEASE put me outta my mysery with this whole color debate I've been having for like, 5 years now!! I just want to do SOMETHING with my color. I definitely think I want to go black with a rinse (especially after seeing DC on Oprah yesterday- Kelly's hair looked GREAT jet black), but maybe clear wouldn't be a bad option either.
I'm just remembering back when I had a rinse that the color would get on my towels and I just can't give up my white sheets and duvet cover!!!
Thanks kombov and foxy!! Ya'll just made my day!I guess it has grown when I compare to older pix, but the one where it looks almost waist length is just the angle. I'm still above bra-strap length so I have a ways to meet my goal. If you guys could stop giving me all these tips and cute styles to try I could get back on the bun, no heat, consistency, water, vitamin, and every other challenge I'm supposed to be on!
Hey My name is SKY and I also live in CT. I live in Hamden. It is nice to see someone else from CT up here ont the forum. I also love your hair. I am also a dark skin female, I have a little below shoulder length hair and I think your hair is an inspiration to me. People think dark skin girls are bald-headed. Boy were they wrong!
LOL @ SG...I am the LAST person to help someone with a color...all I know to say is "How about black?" /images/graemlins/rofl.gif
Foxy, SG, if I go with the clear, I'll definitely post a review and pics...I'm just still too much of a wussy right now, but I am seriously getting closer to doing it /images/graemlins/look.gif.

Gotta get to work now,

SG why don't you start out with the clear rinse to see how you like it. I will have to admit that the jet black does get kind of messy. You definitely don't want to use good towels when you dye your hair with this.
Thanks Ricamorena and AudraChanell /images/graemlins/blush.gif ,
I think I'll just sit back and see how Foxy and Dreemssold's hair comes out- either the clear or the black. I will say that I think I'm leaning more towards the black though b/c a nice healthy color would be great for winter.
Either way, I'll be "stalking" those albums to see the color updates!
