A friend of mine, who has bra strap length hair, told he that she recently started using Black and Sassy products and that it does wonders for her hair epsecially the oil sheen in spray bottle. I was wondering if any of y'all tried any of their products and what do ya think.

I use the Wrap Cream when I roller set. It makes the set last a week. It would probably last longer, but that's my limit.

Danie76,

I'm going to have to agree with your friend about the Oil Sheen in a bottle. I love it better than any aerosol oil sheen I've ever used. It does give a fantastic shine. I also like their Black and Sassy Shine.(serum) It smells good, gives nice sheen, and makes the hair so soft.

I have the wrap creme. I didn't like the results, but it could be that I used too much.

I would've never given a 2nd look to these product just based on the packaging, but once I did (heard about them from Carolyn Gray), I was glad.

I didn't need to apply too much of the wrap creme for it to be effective. I did over-apply once and my hair felt coated.

It does not contain mineral oil or petrolatum.

I have the wrap cream (purple stuff in white jar) and a little bit goes a LOOOONG way. Supergirl and Curlycrly, I found this out the hard way too.

I use just a teeny bit to hold my twist-outs and it works great. I never use it to wrap my hair because it's too heavy.

I'll have to try the oil sheen spray.

I must be doing something wrong. The wrap cream gave me great hold - TOO great, actually: my curls were very hard and crispy. I suspect now that I may have used too much.

The creamy set isn't working for me, either, but for the opposite reason: while my hair comes out nice and soft, my curls have absolutely NO hold! They come right out if I so much as pass my comb through my hair. I tried the creamy set twice, the last time being as recently as last night.

I'm thinking of trying a 50/50 mixture of the creamy set and the wrap cream, to see if I get better results. I will give the creamy set another try tonight, though.

Any ideas as to what, if anything, I'm doing wrong?
