If you use too much, that can happen. I had to stop using it because I was using it in high doese, tryna get my hair to grow fast and not only was my head itching, but my skin was itching as well and I broke out in all of these dry patches. As soon as I cut back on the dosage, I didn't have any itching issues.

My head itches, too. Today I increased my dosage to 2500 mcg and I've been so itchy.

wow..that's interesting!

I just started taking a 5mg biotin capsule a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that my skin has had dry patches also, which is unusual since I have oily skin.


My scalp has been itching also, but I've never thought about it. Hmm..maybe it's the biotin.

Yeah girl, its definetly the biotin causing the itchy scalp and skin. I tried to get real bold a few months ago and tried PP's Super Biotin which is like 5mg. I broke out like crazy and had severe itchies. Make sure you drink LOTS of water.

Thanks ladies it was just my head that was itching not my whole body

For me straight up biotin makes me break out in rashes all over and they itch something fierce too! I can take vitamins with ultra high levels of biotin like Andrew Lessman's hair/skin/nails but I CANNOT take straight biotin.
