Biotin Question

Can a MD prescribe large doses(12mg) of biotin? What is it usually precribed for? How much water are you supposed to drink to prvent the breakouts? I ask b/c I want to try the large dose, but can't afford to buy it at vitamin stores/online b/c I am a poor college student. I'm sure it's cheaper to get it from a pharmacy since insurance covers most things.

lol, I dont think you really need that much. As stated a numerous amount of times on this board the excess biotin will be flushed out of your system. I mean I can tell some of it is being flushed out, because of the amount of times I have to go to the bathroom nowadays.
