Biosilk Silk Therapy??

I went to the Dominican salon for some much needed blowout action on the roots today. As always, they did an excellent job. The very last step, she lightly rubbed about 2 drops of Biosilk throughout my hair...the smell was delish!!

Soooo, the PJ in me went straight to CVS afterwards and bought me a little bottle. That joint was $12.99 for a 2.26 oz bottle . So, my question is, what do I do with it?? LOL How do you ladies use this, or other serums? Is this just going to be a high shine gloss I add after styling? Help...

This used to be a staple of mine. I would wash, condition, then while my hair was still damp, I would put just a couple of drops in my palms and run it through my hair. Then I would put my setting lotion in and wrap. My hair would come out very smooth. The key is not to use too much because it will weigh your hair dooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwnnnnn.

I use this but not that often. Makes my hair look great but dries it out something awful. When I use it, I shake it up really well, then put a couple of drops on wet/damp hair and then either blow dry or roller set. If I am flat ironing my hair, I will sometimes put on a few drops afterwards.

Leaves me with a great shine and my hair doesn't revert as fast.

My old beautician used it as a finishing touch on my hair. She used it more for shine than anything else. (it does smell really good!)

Biosilk has a significant amount of alcohol. I used it use be in love with the shine and use it from root to tip to wrap my hair a few years. After a while of regular use, it made my hair extremely dry.

The company stepped up its game and made the CHI Silk Infusion ( I as many ladies have been turned on to it by Navsgeda) It is amazing, no alcohol and is a great heat protectant.

I've used it before. It does give great shine but it's really drying (at least it was on my hair) It also has a strong scent that gave me a headache. I ended up giving the nearly full bottle to my sister.

wish i had read this before i went out and bought it! and yeah, i couldn't believe how expensive it was for the little tiny bottle!!!! hope it doesn't dry out my hair too much

I have a full bottle of this that I bought almost 2 years ago to use with my CHI blowdryer.

I thought it was ok but it's heavy and drying.

LOVE Chi Silk Infusion though.

I use biosilk, the shampoo, conditioner and silk therapy when I know I'm going to flat iron my hair-the smell is amazing. Before I put it in my hair, I rub it into my hand a bit and fan my hands, the little alcohol content seems to evaporates. By the way salonsavings.com sells it half off. My 11 oz bottle was around $20. I never used the Chi, because it's been almost a year and I haven't even used half of the Biosilk bottle ( a little goes a long way).

I love love love this stuff... but a little goes a loooooong way. N also be sure to shake it up first, I once put a little in my hands and went to run my hands thru my hair but stopped because my hands smelled like str8 alcohol. I guess it settled or something, but anyways shake first n use a little. I never had a problem with it drying my hair out.

I haven't touched that stuff since July . It did dry my hair out. I really wanted it to work since it cost so much. Hope you guys have better success.

I use it on my hair before I wrapped and sometimes on rollersets.

I got a good deal on it at Sam's club.

I bought a big bottle over a year ago. It is very drying to me and I didn't get as much shine from it as silken seal. I use it on my skin when I think about it.
