SO I finally broke down and shelled out the money for a bio-ionic flat iron-- well I didn't spend the 350, but i paid 150.
Let me give you background on my hair. I am a natural 4a/b with SUPER curly hair. my hair right now is pretty healthy but its only about 6 inches long straight. My natural hair is shiny-- not extremely shiny, but i remember thread a while ago that stated that 4's can;t have shiny hair only sheen but my natural hair does shine
Now for the iron..
It automatically loses points because it doesn't have heat settings- only on and off. But it gets pretty hot. You are also not supposed to used any products before using it because I guess it cancels out the ionic benefits so thats also a draw back. And it also comes only in a 1 1/2 inch design so you really can't get to the roots.
Now with all that being said I LOVE THIS FLAT IRON! !! it straightens my natural hair in one sweep, unlike 3 or four with other conventional irons. It gets my hair really straight.ALso it made my hair incredibly shiny. I already started out with shiny hair, but with the iron my hair shimmers and glitters. This iron is supposed to also be better for the hair because of the ionic complex, I don't know if thats true because I have only used it a few times so I cannot tell if it is doing any damage. I do know however that ny hair seems to feel moist after I flat iron it . I don;t know if thats a good thing or bad thing, I just know my hair looks good.
So on a 1 to 10 rating scale, I give it a 9.5, it loses points for the above mentioned points.
