BIG Head,barely any hair!

Does anyone feel that they have a big head and not enough hair to match??? When I bun and do a profile shot or look in the mirror, it looks like i have no hair!!! its a damn shame!!!!! I know i bun for a protective style but i dont think it suits or fits me!!!

Anyone else feel like this????

That's part of the reason why I went natural. I have a gigantic face/head and when my relaxed hair was freshly done, I HATED it. It was so flat, and I need fullness to mask this.

I never wore my hair in a bun, because like you, I feel like that was absolutely one style I could not pull off.

Yea lol. You have to work around that. Like with a bun, make a high bun on the top of your head as opposed to right behind your eyes on the back. Also there's the ole sock bun if you want to try that lol. Works every time!

Lol I usually tell my stylist to bump the top of my head and do side swept bangs to make it look full when I get a relaxer.

My problem is when I get a fresh relaxer, my "8 head" seems more profound. I have to mask it with a side bang for 2 weeks if wearing straight, or wear curly styles (mostly updos w/bangs). Buns don't look good on me unless I have a bang, but it still looks weird.erplexed

They key is not wearing buns and pony until you surpass neck length. You gotta let things "even out".

Yes and I hate it Especially after a fresh relaxer.

I cant wait till i get some more inches to do a bun or ponytail.

In between.

You know what still works for me? If I wear a ponytail, I make sure the tail is as big/fluffy as possible. If I'm bunning it, I make sure to habe a big bun.

I have a real big head and I feel like it's a handicap. Lol. I can't rollerset like normal people because my arms get tired. I fell off my mega tek reggie cause there's just to much scalp surface area to cover. When my hair was growing out I looked like a sumo wrestler when I put it in a ponytail.

I had/have [I guess] the opposite problem. I have too much hair for the size of my head and small body...WNGs don't look good on me IMO, but the out-dos don't look bad at all, weird.

I have the same problem. I also believe I look a lil mannish when you can't see my hair so I wear big earrings to make up for it if I can't wear a bang.​

You'd be surprised what you can do with a sock lol. Ya'll never put a sock in your hair to make a bun? I could do this with earlobes length hair lol.

I was neck length not too long ago. I understand your frustration with styles etc. I find that roller sets of any kind seems to make the hair seem more full. You can check out my fotki for some style ideas. Also you might want to consider either transitioning to natural or textlaxing for more hair volume.

*lol* I'm with you there - my hair is shoulder length, and my bun is STILL anemic looking. I either do multiple buns (two at behind the eye level), or I don't do buns at all (most often).

I have a big fat juicy head and full cheeks. I try to wear bangs swept to the side and big ear rings. I have shoulder length hair. I just bought a bun from the BSS. I usually wear my bun with my own hair but now I am going to try the clip on bun. Anytime and can get more height on the top of my head, I look better.
