Well, it's been a long 14 months, but I am finally all natural! I put pictures in my fotki if anyone wants to see. I am VERY happy. All the problems and worries I was having about my hair are GONE! It feels really healthy and I don't have to put three thousand products in it to make it look right. I just co washed and put in some aveda elixir in it and a bit of avocado butter and it feels real soft. But I do have to say that I almost cannot believe the shrinkage! There is a picture in my album where I stretch out some hair and it's amazing how much shrinkage there is! But I have no complaints. I plan to take care of this hair very, very well and watch it grow....

Thank you to Jainygirl, who was my inspiration and gave me the courage to chop! Thank you to all of you ladies who inspired me, as well. This is a great place!!!!!

Lovely hair- you are absolutely glowing in those pics I can tell you are happy :) You grew a lot of hair in 14 months its going to grow back out in no time. Congrats!
 
Thank you everyone! I can't believe I lasted 14 months, but the last few days...knowing I was going to chop....were the hardest. Thank you so much to all of you for looking at my fotki and for being so supportive!

Ohhh....It was about 10 inches in the back, I think. :eek: It sure seemed like I was snipping a lot of hair!

Man I been stalking this board all day waiting for this thread and when I leave to do my hair, I miss it. Anyway girl your hair looks awesome!! I thought I had a lot of hair, but you have tons of hair and you can make a ponytail!! Congratulations.
 
Congratz on your BC!! Your hair looks great. You have a lot of growth for 145 months. Your hair should grow back in now time. Also since you have enough to pully back in a pony tail you have more styling options. Thanx for sharing your pics!! :)
 
Congratulations Cichelle :bouncy: !!!!!! Thank you so much :kiss: I'm so glad for you :D. Trust me you are gonna grow to be fast friends with your shrinkage. Like when you do twists and not have to worry about them unraveling. My shrinkage helps to 'seal' the ends of my twists and cornrows. I cant wait to follow your progress. Congratulations on your BC! You are now an inspiration to me, especially since I plan to transition for 14 months or so as well. You had a lot of patience and it paid off in the end.
