Which brands carry quality Yaki extensions, #2, 12 inch? Are there any places online? As far as local, any places in the Chicago area that sell quality extensions? I don't care about the price...thanks! I don't want it too silky, more of a permed look for a sew in weave.

Have you tried Chatham Beauty Supply store? They sell quality weaves. There's one on 95th and Stony Island and 85th and Dan Ryan near Cubs Food. I hope this helps.

Yup I go to the one on 87th. I usually buy the brand in the blue box (can't think of the name). I was just wondering which brands are of similar or better quality to the one I'm using. Always trying to get better...

Excuse the ignorance. I asked this before and I'll ask again, what is Yaki? I assume not all extensions are Yaki, so what is Yaki? Do I buy Yaki when I buy from Sally's? Is it a special texture different from any other? Please enlighten one who's been braiding for too long not to know the lingo.

Oh the shame!

TIA.

It's a different texture...you know how certain textures/types are best for different styles...Yaki (human hair) tends to be better for sew in weaves and such...they offer a more natural look
